Dear reader,
Welcome to Inside JobTarget — a new blog series where we sit down with the people behind our products and offerings to share the stories, ideas, and insights that shape them.
In this sixth conversation, we’re diving into what Partnerships mean at JobTarget. We'll dive into what these are, why they're critical to customer success, and how these relationships are helping recruiters and hiring teams solve today’s biggest hiring challenges.
Interview with Fred Hult, Senior Director, Partner Solutions.
Tell me what Partnerships mean at JobTarget.
Fred: We work with ATS, Payroll, and HRIS partners who are already integrated with our platform or are interested in doing so. Through that partnership, we want to remove friction from the job posting process to make it easier for recruiters to post jobs from their ATS to any site they need to reach.
ATS partners face a choice: integrate individually with dozens of job boards, each with unique technical requirements, or integrate once with JobTarget and access 25,000+ sites immediately. Why do these partners want to work with JobTarget?
Fred: We add functionality to their platforms without them having to build or maintain it themselves. When customers ask questions like, “Can I post this role to this specific niche job board?” or “What’s the best way to get this job in front of truck drivers in the San Diego area?”, our partners can confidently say yes and point them to the JobTarget integration already built into their system.
Instead of that recruiter having to leave their ATS and login to all these other job boards, they can do that through a single, unified experience in the system they're already using.
And partners get that immediately. They could choose to integrate individually with dozens of boards - each with it's own process and technical requirements - or by working with JobTarget, they can integrate once and access 25,000+ sites.
What is the purpose of ATS partnerships at JobTarget?
Fred: It really comes down to making sure that our integrations remove as much friction as possible from the job posting process. We work closely with our partners to ensure the customer experience is not just seamless, but genuinely enjoyable.
That focus carries through everything we do - from our developers, engineers, and implementation specialists during the build process, to our Partnership Account Managers who own the long-term relationship and continuously work to maintain a high-quality customer experience.
How do recruiters benefit from JobTarget's partnerships?
Fred: You can be in your ATS, manage your jobs, and have all these recruiting tools available to you in a unified experience. Otherwise you would have to leave your system, go to each individual job board, and repeat the same processes over and over.
We also offer flexibility that a lot of other vendors don't. Because we have integrations with 80+ HR software systems, if our customers end up changing software, we can move with them pretty easily without having to start from scratch.
How is your team thinking about innovation relating to ATS integrations?
Fred: It's really dependent on how our partners are building today. They still get real value from a strong Marketplace experience, and that isn’t going away. At the same time, we’re seeing a growing group of partners, especially newer ones, building AI-driven workflows that need deeper, more flexible integrations.
So our focus is on supporting both models. We continue to invest in the marketplace experience while also evolving JobTarget into a more modular, API-first platform that partners can use to power AI use cases like sourcing, video interviews, and automation.
For us, and for the recruiters that rely on this technology, innovation isn’t about chasing trends. It’s about reducing friction, helping partners move faster, and delivering better hiring outcomes.
What makes partnerships at JobTarget unique?
Fred: We have the technical depth to work with partners across the spectrum from early stage start ups to big enterprise software companies. Over the past two years, we've integrated with almost 50 partners and you can't do that without having strong, proven best practices.
With that experience, we can guide new partners and say "we've seen this work here" or "we have data behind this approach". And the value doesn't stop at the initial integration. We stay invested over the lifetime of the partnership with the joint goal of seeing recruiters succeed.
This team is built on a strong foundation of technology and best practices and that's what makes our partnerships work so well.
