Dear reader,

Welcome to Inside JobTarget — a new blog series where we sit down with the people behind our products to share the stories, ideas, and insights that shape them.

In this seventh conversation, we’re diving into Compliance Services — what it is, why we built it, who it’s for, and how it’s helping recruiters and hiring teams solve today’s biggest hiring challenges.

Interview with Leigh Valencia, Director, Compliance Services.

Who is this product built for?

Leigh: Compliance is designed for federal contractors and subcontractors that must adhere to VEVRAA and Section 503 regulations—requirements that are focused on equal employment opportunity and affirmative action for veterans and individuals with disabilities.

Within those organizations, it serves two key audiences:

  • Compliance officers who manage multiple state job bank (SJB) accounts and regulatory requirements
  • Recruiters who want to avoid manual, compliance-driven posting tasks and instead focus on strategic hiring

Typically, these regulations apply to organizations with 50+ employees across industries such as financial services, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and government suppliers.

What problem does it solve?

Leigh: It simplifies and automates the complex, time-consuming process of staying compliant with federal job posting requirements.

What exactly does it automate?

Leigh: Compliance automates several critical workflows:

  • Posting jobs to appropriate state job banks
  • Distributing roles to veteran and disability-focused job sites
  • Conducting outreach to local organizations
  • Expanding candidate reach to diversify applicant pools
  • Capturing and storing proof of postings for compliance audits (we keep records for three years)

This replaces repetitive manual processes with a centralized, automated system.

Why should companies invest in it?

Leigh: Because compliance isn't optional—and it’s not going away.

Any manual process is prone to human error, especially when they involve repetitive tasks like job postings and recordkeeping. By automating the compliance-driven aspects of federal contractor job distribution, organizations can reduce risk while reclaiming their time back.

That time can then be redirected toward higher-impact work that truly requires a human touch—like analyzing workforce data, evaluating promotion and termination trends, and strengthening overall recruiting strategies.

Ultimately, it’s about trusting experts to handle a complex, ever-evolving area of compliance so your team can focus on what matters most.

There has recently been a lot of uncertainty in this space due to shifting regulations and updates from the Government. How does that impact customers?

Leigh: We follow shifts in policy and enforcement very closely and continuously update our products and communications to reflect those changes.

The product also provides flexibility, allowing customers to adjust outreach strategies based on changing regulations or internal priorities.

But beyond that, we see it as our responsibility to help guide our customers through the uncertainty. We stay deeply connected to what’s happening in the regulatory landscape and share that knowledge through webinars, resources, and timely insights so our customers aren’t left trying to interpret complex changes on their own.

Our goal is to be more than just a technology provider—we aim to be a trusted partner and thought leader in the compliance space. That means giving our customers clarity, context, and confidence in how they move forward.

Instead of worrying about whether they’re keeping up or prepared for what’s next, our customers can rely on us to stay ahead of it and help ensure they remain compliant every step of the way.

In the universe of JobTarget, does this product stand alone or are there supporting products that increase its impact? If so, what are those products?

Leigh: CompliancePost is a flagship product within a larger recruitment suite (Compliance Suite).

It works alongside:

  • DiversityPost: Available as both an add-on or standalone solution, expands job distribution to a wide range of diverse audiences beyond federal compliance requirements.
  • Local Outreach: An add-on to CompliancePost that distributes jobs to local organizations within a defined geographic radius and supports community engagement efforts like resume and career assistance.
  • Activities: Included with CompliancePost and Local Outreach, provides centralized tracking and reporting so teams can monitor outreach efforts and measure effectiveness.
  • Marketplace & Programmatic Solutions: Additional tools within the JobTarget ecosystem that support broader recruitment and job advertising strategies.

Together, these tools create a holistic approach to recruitment and compliance.

Why should customers stick with this product long-term?

Leigh: Because it offers ongoing assurance in a complex and evolving regulatory environment.

Our customers benefit from:

  • Continuous updates aligned with regulatory changes
  • Reliable recordkeeping for audits
  • Scalable automation as their organization grows

It's not just a tool—it’s a long-term compliance partner.

How are we different than other companies that offer automated Compliance support?

Leigh: JobTarget's Compliance Suite is part of JobTarget's broader recruitment advertising solutions, where general recruiting and compliance work can happen together seamlessly. Too often, Compliance teams and Recruitment teams are working in silos, but JobTarget's product offerings help bring these goals and processes together into one central platform.

If you had to sum up this product in one phrase, what would it be?

Leigh: Automated assurance for compliance.

Interview concluded.
