However, we have much more to accomplish for our customers, and we're looking for a culturally aligned Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our dynamic team located in Markham.

As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will report to the Controller and collaborates with the Order Processing & Invoicing Supervisor, the Accounts Receivable Clerk will be responsible for processing and monitoring of incoming payments and safeguarding the receipts of revenue for the company.

The Accounts Receivable Clerk will:

• Process incoming payments and posting payments to customer accounts.
• Performs all debt collection duties and ensures that all aged receivables are collected in a timely manner while maintaining the collection goals.
• Put past due accounts on hold in accordance with the company’s standard operating procedure.
• Issuing monthly customer statements.
• Reconciling the payments posted with the daily bank deposit statement.
• Maintain communication with customers regarding outstanding balance, payment discrepancies, and any other matter related to accounts receivable.
• Investigate and resolve any invoicing discrepancies, collection issues, rejected payment or misapplied payments.

• Completing accounts receivable ledger reconciliation.
• Providing management with monthly status update on overdue accounts, account receivable issues, and a breakdown of aging balances
• Support month end and year end close procedures.
• Perform all reasonable work activities to support team or as assigned by manager.

To be successful you should have:

• Minimum two year experience in an account receivable or client-service related role.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to quickly build up relationships with both internal & external customers
• Willingness to learn new skills to be applied in workplace
• Think out of box and continuously find ways to improve current processes
• A team player
• Post-secondary education is an asset.
• Experience in a wholesale / distribution organization is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
• Experience using an ERP software. NetSuite skill is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft office suite tools
