Join a Growing Leader in Residential Backup Power!

At Canter Power Systems we're looking for motivated, experienced sales professionals who enjoy helping homeowners, building relationships, and maximizing their earning potential.

With more than 20 years of experience, over 3,000 residential generator installations annually, and recognition as a Generac Prestige Dealer and Kohler Titanium Dealer, we've built a reputation for delivering quality products and exceptional customer service.

We're continuing to grow and are looking for an experienced In-Home Sales Consultant to join our team.

The best part? We provide the leads so you can focus on selling!

• Uncapped Commission: Your earning potential is directly tied to your performance, with no commission cap.
• Company-Provided Leads: Receive approximately 3–5 qualified, scheduled homeowner appointments daily.
• No Cold Calling or Door Knocking: Our marketing team generates leads and fills your calendar.
• High-Value Sales Opportunities: Average residential generator projects range from $14,000–$16,000.
• Industry-Leading Products: Represent Generac and Kohler residential standby generator solutions.
• Dedicated Operational Support: Our experienced permitting, gas, electrical, and installation teams handle project execution after the sale.
• Established Company Reputation: Join a growing organization with a proven track record of quality installations and customer satisfaction.

As an In-Home Sales Consultant, you'll meet with homeowners to assess their backup power needs and recommend customized residential generator solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conduct scheduled in-home consultations with prospective customers.
• Evaluate homeowners' backup power needs and recommend appropriate generator solutions.
• Educate customers on product features, benefits, installation requirements, and available options.
• Prepare and present customized proposals and pricing.
• Close sales while providing a professional, consultative customer experience.
• Maintain accurate customer records, sales activity, and follow-up communications.
• Build strong customer relationships and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with internal sales support, permitting, operations, and installation teams to ensure a smooth transition from sale to installation.
• Consistently work toward individual sales goals and performance expectations.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven sales experience with a demonstrated ability to close sales and achieve performance goals.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to build trust and establish relationships with homeowners.
• Self-motivated, organized, dependable, and results-driven.
• Comfortable working in a commission-based sales environment.
• Ability to manage multiple appointments, customer follow-ups, and sales opportunities.
• Professional appearance and commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
• Ability to travel locally to scheduled in-home customer appointments.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous in-home sales experience, particularly in high-ticket residential products or services, is strongly preferred.

Experience in any of the following industries is a plus:

• HVAC
• Roofing
• Solar
• Windows and Doors
• Home Improvement or Remodeling
• Pools
• Home Security Systems
• Residential Construction
• Other high-ticket residential sales

• Competitive, commission-based compensation
• Uncapped earning potential
• Company-provided qualified sales appointments
• Approximately 3–5 scheduled appointments daily
• No cold calling or door-to-door prospecting
• Ongoing sales and operational support
• Access to premium, industry-leading products
• Established marketing and lead-generation programs
• Opportunity for long-term career growth with an expanding organization

Unlike companies that require sales representatives to generate their own leads and manage projects from start to finish, we provide the resources and support needed to help you succeed.

Our marketing team generates qualified appointments, and our dedicated in-house teams manage permitting, gas, electrical, and installation coordination after the sale.

Your focus is simple: Meet homeowners, build relationships, and close sales.

We believe successful sales professionals should be able to concentrate on what they do best while having the support of an experienced team behind them.

If you're an experienced sales professional who thrives in a performance-driven environment, enjoys helping homeowners, and wants the opportunity to earn uncapped commissions without spending your days prospecting, we'd love to hear from you.
