About This Position
Akira Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Policy Manager (Data Steward) to support mission-critical intelligence and data integration initiatives within the National Capital Region. This position plays a key role in advancing policy alignment, supporting intelligence operations, and enabling enterprise data governance efforts across multiple mission stakeholders.
The ideal candidate brings leadership experience within intelligence environments, strong documentation capabilities, and demonstrated success supporting data governance and integration activities.
This is an onsite role supporting a government client in Fort Belvoir, VA. TS/SCI with an ability to obtain a CI Polygraph is required.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage teams supporting intelligence planning, collection, processing, analysis, and dissemination activities.
- Provide data integration support across:
- Data governance
- Data architecture
- Data warehousing
- Data quality management
- Metadata management
- Data operations management
- Data discovery
- Coordinate with mission stakeholders to identify and support enterprise data and information requirements.
- Support foreign disclosure and intelligence dissemination activities in accordance with applicable policies.
- Develop, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and operational documentation.
- Produce reports and briefing materials incorporating text, visuals, and structured analysis to communicate complex concepts clearly.
- Deliver professional briefings and presentations to leadership and cross-functional audiences.
- Facilitate collaboration across small working groups supporting policy implementation and coordination tasks.
- Ensure alignment with organizational directives, regulatory guidance, and mission priorities.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline from an accredited college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 4 years of demonstrated experience supporting data integration activities, i.e. data governance, data architecture, data warehousing, data quality management, metadata management, data operations management, and data discovery.
- Minimum 4 years of leadership experience managing personnel supporting intelligence planning, collection, processing, analysis, or dissemination.
- Demonstrated experience supporting foreign disclosure, intelligence dissemination, or delivering professional briefings to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain SOPs and structured documentation.
- Experience producing reports that communicate complex information using both narrative and graphics.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate with working groups supporting data and information requirements.
- Active DoD TS/SCI clearance required
- Must be eligible to obtain a CI Polygraph
- Ability to obtain DoDD 8140.01 (formerly DoDD 8570.01-M) IAT Level II certification within 30 calendar days of indoctrination at HQ INSCOM
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Army or Intelligence Community policy environments
- Strong technical writing and policy development background
- Experience supporting enterprise data governance initiatives
- Ability to translate complex technical/data topics into operational guidance
- Strong stakeholder engagement and coordination skills
Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000
Akira’s pay range for this position considers various factors including skills, years of experience, training, licenses, certifications, alignment with market data, and internal equity in the organization. This pay range estimate is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary, which Akira believes to be done in good faith in compliance with local laws. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
