Job Description

Position Summary
Caelum Research Corporation is seeking a strategic and growth-oriented Vice President of Technology to lead the company’s technology vision and drive innovation across federal and commercial markets.
This role is responsible for aligning technology strategy with business objectives, expanding technical capabilities, and supporting business development efforts to drive revenue growth within the federal government contracting space. The VP of Technology will play a key role in capture and proposal activities while ensuring excellence across IT programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with executive leadership to define and execute short- and long-term technology strategy
  • Lead innovation across cloud, cybersecurity, AI/ML, and Agile delivery
  • Identify and develop new technical capabilities aligned with federal market demands
  • Support business development and capture efforts, including proposal development and technical solutioning for government contracts
  • Provide technical leadership in new business pursuits and client engagements
  • Oversee IT performance across programs to ensure alignment with contract requirements and customer expectations
  • Maintain strong relationships with government clients, partners, and stakeholders
  • Champion a collaborative, high-performance culture across teams
  • Lead or support internal quality assurance, compliance, and certification initiatives (e.g., CMMC, NIST)

Leadership & Collaboration
  • Reports directly to the President
  • Works closely with executive leadership, program managers, and cross-functional teams
  • Interfaces with federal government agencies, subcontractors, and teaming partners
  • Participates in strategic planning and business development initiatives

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in IT and technology management within a government contracting environment
  • Demonstrated experience supporting federal government contracts, capture efforts, and proposal development (RFP/RFQ responses)
  • Strong knowledge of federal acquisition processes and compliance frameworks (FAR, DFARS, NIST, CMMC, ISO, ITIL, CMMI)
  • Proven ability to align technical solutions with contract requirements and customer missions
  • Expertise in cloud technologies, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies (AI/ML)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
