Description:

The Director, Enterprise Technology and Business Intelligence, plays a pivotal role in advancing NAA’s mission by ensuring enterprise systems, data, and analytics enable informed decision-making, operational excellence, and high-quality service to the rental housing industry. This work is meaningful because it directly supports NAA’s vision of a modern, audience-first organization by strengthening data integrity, transparency, and cross-functional collaboration through business intelligence and data governance leadership. Principal accountabilities

Business Intelligence – The incumbent will have responsibility for the quality and management of NAA’s operating data.

  • Lead NAA’s cross functional data and technology governance team
  • Lead the development of standards, processes, and policies for collecting, organizing, storing, and accessing data from internal and external sources
  • Lead NAA’s data exchange program that manages data flows between NAA and its affiliates
  • Conceive, plan, and prioritize data projects
  • Solve for NAA’s data management deficiencies, including but not limited to developing and implementing solutions for NAA’s data quality and integrity
  • Lead the development and maturation of NAA’s data warehouse/lakes
  • Lead the development of NAA’s business analytics program including the implementation of data visualization tools.

Enterprise Technology – The incumbent will have responsibility for the day to maintenance and maturation of NAA’s enterprise software, including but not limited to Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud), Nimble, Data Exchange (Custom app), Agent Force, Marketing Cloud Engagement and Personalization.

  • Lead Salesforce projects, designing and enhancing application architecture to support business needs
  • Compile backlog and manage plan to reduce tech debt
  • Manage day-to-day platform priorities including supervision of department staff by working to identify department priorities.
  • Lead the maturation of the Salesforce/Nimble platform by working with key internal stakeholders to identify areas where technology can help improve business inefficiencies
  • Develop a staff engagement program designed to nurture an environment of innovation and increase use of Salesforce/Nimble
  • Serve as the technology lead on the digital transformation team and work with internal stakeholders to implement marketing automation, digital personalization and artificial intelligence to improve member experience and digital engagement
  • Lead technology development and maturation for NAA’s service center in Salesforce
  • Other Duties as assigned
  • Manage and develop a team of Salesforce administrators and data management staff
Requirements:
  • 5-10 years’ experience leading enterprise software applications such as Salesforce.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum five years developing, maintaining and managing data governance plans
  • Strong knowledge of data management, business intelligence and analytics.
  • Understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem including but not limited to digital marketing and engagement platforms such as Pardot (Salesforce engagement) and Salesforce interaction studio, Service Cloud, CRM, and Agent Force.
  • Self-motivated with excellent facilitation skills
  • Leadership experience in solving complex business problems with cross functional teams
  • Leadership in setting priorities and clarifying roles within a department
  • Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams by setting clear objectives, fostering accountability, and cultivating a culture of continuous growth. Known for empowering others, communicating with clarity, and inspiring excellence through integrity, strategic vision, and empathy.

Preferred

  • Experience as an association technology professional
  • Product development experience
  • Understanding of web user experience and principles
  • Management of budgets of more than 1 million dollars

Travel Requirements: Some travel < 5%
