The IT Asset Acquisition Manager is a high-impact, revenue-generating role responsible for sourcing and securing large volumes of IT assets for resale in the secondary market.
This is not a traditional procurement role, this position operates as a market-facing trader and dealmaker, owning the full lifecycle of asset acquisition from sourcing and valuation through negotiation and close.
You will be responsible for building and executing a sourcing strategy that drives $5M–$10M+ annually in asset acquisitions, while scaling current purchasing volume from approximately 3,000 units per month to 3–4x that level.
Success in this role requires a proven track record in ITAD or secondary market buying, an active and established network of suppliers (VARs, leasing companies, and brokers), and the ability to evaluate opportunities quickly and close competitively. This role is designed for a true hunter who thrives in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment and takes ownership of revenue outcomes.

What You Will Do:
Revenue Ownership
Own and execute a sourcing strategy to drive $5M–$10M+ annually in IT asset acquisitionsScale inbound inventory volume significantly, with a focus on high-demand laptops, desktops, and serversNiche asset identification: Beyond standard PC and server hardware, proactively identify and source high-value specialized electronics, ensuring all acquisitions align with Securis’s core mission of securely repurposing electronics.Take full accountability for sourcing performance, deal flow, and revenue contributionDeal Origination
Identify and win bulk asset opportunities across enterprise clients, VARs, leasing companies, and brokersBuild and maintain a consistent pipeline of high-quality sourcing opportunitiesActively prospect, network, and generate new deal flow in a competitive marketDeal Execution
Lead high-stakes negotiations and manage purchase or consignment agreementsStructure deals that optimize margin, velocity, and resale potentialMove with urgency to secure opportunities in time-sensitive, competitive situationsMarket Intelligence
Analyze complex asset manifests and perform ROI-based valuationDetermine Maximum Viable Bids (MVB) based on market demand, condition, and resale strategyStay ahead of pricing trends, buyer demand, and secondary market dynamicsRelationship Management
Leverage and expand an existing Rolodex of ITAD, VAR, and leasing partnersBuild long-term relationships that drive repeat business and consistent deal flowEstablish Securis as a trusted, high-performing buyer in the marketCollaboration
Partner closely with Sales and Remarketing teams to align purchasing decisions with real-time demandParticipate in on-site asset evaluations and deal validation as neededTravel 15–25% for site visits, partner meetings, and industry eventsWhat We Are Looking For:
Required
5+ years of experience sourcing or buying used IT hardware in the secondary marketProven track record of sourcing $3M+ annually in IT assetsActive network of ITAD, VAR, leasing, or brokerage relationshipsDemonstrated ability to analyze, negotiate, and close high-value deals independentlyStrong understanding of secondary market pricing, grading, and resale dynamicsAbility to work on-site in Chantilly, VAPreferred
Experience sourcing laptops, tablets, and notebooks at scaleFamiliarity with ITAD processes, grading standards, and resale channelsExperience evaluating large asset manifests and performing ROI-based biddingYou’re a Strong Fit If You:
