About This Position

Overview

The nurse in this position will provide comprehensive care to home infusion patients in an outpatient setting, including, but not limited to, the administration of antibiotics, immunologics, TPN, chemotherapy, and supportive care. The RN will be required to travel to the patient’s home and provide infusion therapy for patients. The nurse will be assigned to coordinate care and ensure the patient and family are receiving OHSU’s highest quality of nursing care. This nurse should be available to work Monday through Friday and is expected to be part of the On-Call rotation.

Responsibilities

Previous Experience in ambulatory or infusion.

Minimum two years of nursing experience with acutely ill patients.

Current unencumbered Oregon RN and WA licenses (WA within 30 days of hire).

Certification in Basic Life Support by the American Heart Association.

Valid driver license / proof of insurance.

BSN Graduates: Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a program accredited by Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA) 30 days before start date.

ADN Graduates: Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program 30 days before the start date.

Associate degree Nurses required to enroll in BSN program within 3 years of hire and complete within 5 years of hire.

Current, unencumbered Oregon State Registered Nurse License.

Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation.

Communication skills including fluency in oral and written English. Basic computer skills including the ability to send/receive email, navigate information technology associated with the position, and use Electronic Health Record information and tools.

Current OHSU employees: BSN
Experience with Epic EHR, Microsoft Outlook and TEAMs
Pediatric acute care experience
Previous home infusion or home health experience
CRNI
VA-BC
INS Membership
