Responsibilities
BSN Graduates: Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a program accredited by Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA) 30 days before start date. ADN Graduates: Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program 30 days before the start date. Associate degree Nurses required to enroll in BSN program within 3 years of hire and complete within 5 years of hire Current, unencumbered Oregon State Registered Nurse License BLS at time of hire and must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) BLS must not expire during orientation Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation Qualifications
The key duties of the Clinical RN include phone triage, managing nurse visit schedules, anticipating patient needs, and providing clinical support within ambulatory workflows. The RN advocates for patients and families, ensures efficient, safe, and cost-effective care, acts as a liaison between referral and clinic providers, and participates in interdisciplinary teams and clinic operations aligned position descriptions expectations. This may include active care coordination and management of a high-risk ambulatory patient panel.
Department Specific Requirements (experience, competencies, certifications, student placements, etc.):
- New Grad:
- Must have 90 hours of direct patient care through a practicum or capstone in a community health setting.
- Experienced:
- Must have 2 years of direct patient care experience within the last 5 years.
Responsibilities
- Current clinical nurse experience in an ambulatory care setting including telephone triage.
- Experience working in Primary Care setting within the last three years.
- Nursing professional certification in Ambulatory Nursing.
