Description:

The Human Resources Generalist plays a pivotal role in supporting the organization by delivering high-quality HR services aligned with overarching business objectives. This position ensures accurate payroll processing, administers employee benefits, maintains strict compliance with employment laws, and provides dedicated support for employee needs. The ideal candidate will actively help foster a positive, people-first workplace culture.

  • Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
  • Status: Salary / Exempt
  • Position Type: Full-time (40–45 hours per week)
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday

Key Core Roles

  • Employee Relations: Cultivating positive, productive employee and manager relationships and resolving workplace inquiries.
  • Workplace Safety: Championing onsite safety initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a secure work environment across office and manufacturing spaces.
  • Training & Development: Overseeing employee growth initiatives, training schedules, and skill development programs.
  • Benefits Management: Overseeing employee benefits programs and enrollment inquiries.
  • HR Support Desk: Serving as the primary point of contact for day-to-day HR needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Employee Relations: Act as a trusted resource for employees and managers regarding HR inquiries, concerns, and company policies.
  • Safety & Compliance: Promote a culture of safety; assist with workers' compensation claims, accident reporting, safety training compliance, and OSHA-related documentation.
  • Culture & Engagement: Help organize employee events, comprehensive training sessions, and workplace engagement activities.
  • Benefits & Leave: Assist in administering employee benefits, managing leave requests, and coordinating enrollment programs.
  • Talent Acquisition: Support recruiting, interviewing, and hiring initiatives.
  • Lifecycle Management: Coordinate comprehensive onboarding for new hires and structured offboarding for departing employees.
  • Data & Payroll Support: Maintain accurate employee records, update internal HR information systems (HRIS), and provide supporting assistance for payroll processing and employee information updates.
  • Special Projects: Assist with specialized HR initiatives and other team tasks as assigned.
Requirements:

Education & Experience

  • Education: Associate’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field (Preferred).
  • Experience: 3+ years of progressive experience in customer service and support roles, ideally within an environment requiring safety awareness (Preferred).
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrated proficiency with technical computer software, electronic resources, and HR-related digital tools.
  • Communication: Proven ability to handle high-volume phone calls and correspondence with excellent customer service standards.

Work Environment

The duties of this position are regularly performed in a blended office and manufacturing environment. The employee may occasionally be subject to local weather conditions.
