Waterford is seeking a highly organized, professional, and people-focused HR Assistant to join our team. This position plays a key role in supporting employees and managers while helping ensure our Human Resources processes run smoothly and efficiently.

Position Summary
The HR Assistant provides administrative and operational support for Human Resources functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee records, benefits administration, training coordination, payroll support, and employee engagement initiatives. This position serves as a resource for employees and helps foster a positive workplace culture.
Responsibilities
- Assist with recruitment activities including job postings, applicant screening, interview scheduling, and onboarding.
- Process new hire paperwork and maintain employee personnel files.
- Coordinate orientation and training programs.
- Assist with benefits enrollment and employee communications.
- Support payroll and timekeeping processes.
- Maintain HR records and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Assist with employee recognition, engagement, and retention initiatives.
- Track required certifications, licenses, and training requirements.
- Provide administrative support to managers and employees.
- Answer employee questions and direct inquiries appropriately.
- Assist with scheduling and staffing functions as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Previous administrative, office, payroll, scheduling, or HR experience preferred.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and email systems.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to pass a Wisconsin Caregiver Background Check.
