Job Description
Gage Marine Corporation is seeking a qualified, HR professional who will work closely with managers and leadership across all of Gage Marine’s business and locations to enhance communication and nurture a culture where employees feel valued, connected, and inspired! This role requires hands-on employee lifecycle program implementation with strategic alignment to Gage Marine’s core values and general HR support and tasks. This position reports directly to the COO.

Responsibilities
- Champion the Employee Lifecycle - Assist with all phases of the employee lifecycle: recruiting, onboarding, engagement, performance support, offboarding, etc. Champion Gage Marine’s culture through people-first practices and initiatives.
- Provide Support to Employees - Respond to employee questions or issues, assist employees in locating resources or connecting them with other HR employees or vendors. Assist employees in navigating the payroll platform.
- Payroll Support - Assist the Payroll & Benefits Manager with payroll issues including research, reaching out to parties, compiling and entering data, etc.
- Maintain Employee Records - Manage employee physical and digital documents and ensure employee confidentiality. Process non-payroll employee updates in the payroll platform.
- Implement Meaningful Programs - Implement employee programs: recognition, learning & development, culture initiatives, wellness, diversity & inclusion, feedback & listening, etc.
- Empower Employee Success - Partner with managers and leadership to set and communicate clear expectations when it comes to performance, discipline and coaching. Build accountability and elevate team performance.
- Help Improve People Processes - Work closely with HR/Administration to help streamline processes, tools and system (onboarding checklists, offboarding workflows, manager toolkits, etc.).
- Process Employee Paperwork - Complete unemployment paperwork, injury reporting, FMLA requests, and more. Assist with annual censuses, reports, etc.

Requirements:- Experience - 3+ years in Human Resources. Experience in a large, multi-location business is a plus but not required.
- Education - Associates or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
- Communicator & Collaborator - Excellent partner to our leaders and managers with a demonstrated ability to build trust and translate ideas into actionable programs.
- HR Knowledge - Strong experience with HR administration, employee lifecycle management, and wellness/benefits initiatives.
- Data Savviness - Comfortable with metrics, analytics, feedback tools and leveraging insights to form decisions.
