This role sits at the core of enterprise financial planning and systems architecture, owning the platforms and data flows that power critical FP&A decision-making across the organization. You will be responsible for shaping and operating a modern Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) environment that connects finance, data, and business systems into a unified planning ecosystem. Acting as the technical authority for the planning platform, you will design scalable models, ensure data integrity, and enable accurate forecasting and reporting. The position requires close collaboration with Finance leadership, Data teams, and IT stakeholders to translate business needs into robust technical solutions. You will also play a key role in defining standards, governance, and best practices for financial systems at scale. This is a highly cross-functional and visible role where your work directly influences strategic planning and company-wide financial decisions. It is ideal for someone who combines deep systems expertise with strong financial acumen and a product mindset for internal platforms.
- Own and evolve the enterprise financial planning (EPM) platform, including data models, calculation logic, security design, versioning, and release management
- Design and maintain scalable integrations between core systems (ERP, CRM, HRIS, data warehouse, BI tools, and EPM platforms) ensuring data consistency and integrity
- Partner with Data and IT teams to define and govern data flows across systems such as BigQuery, NetSuite, Workday, Salesforce, Looker, and the planning platform
- Translate business and FP&A requirements into structured technical designs and system configurations
- Establish modeling standards, architecture guidelines, and best practices for scalable financial planning systems
- Drive adoption and enablement through documentation, training, and support for FP&A and Finance users
- Ensure system reliability, governance, and compliance, including access controls, auditability, and SOX-aligned processes
- Collaborate with Finance leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to define planning methodologies and system roadmap priorities
- Identify and resolve upstream data issues using SQL-based diagnostics and system analysis
- Act as the primary technical liaison across Finance, Data, and Engineering for all EPM-related initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related discipline
- Extensive hands-on experience with EPM platforms such as Pigment, Anaplan, or Adaptive Planning, including ownership or lead role in implementation
- Strong expertise in financial data modeling, including dimensions, calculations, allocations, and security architecture
- Solid understanding of enterprise data ecosystems, including ERP, CRM, data warehouses, and BI tools
- Experience working with systems such as NetSuite, Workday, Salesforce, BigQuery, or Looker is highly desirable
- Proficiency in SQL for troubleshooting and analyzing financial data flows; Python or scripting skills are a plus
- Familiarity with SOX compliance requirements and financial system governance
- Strong ability to document technical specifications and communicate system design decisions clearly
- Proven ability to collaborate across Finance, Data, and IT stakeholders in complex environments
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate financial planning needs into technical solutions
- AI fluency, with practical use of modern automation and LLM-based tools in day-to-day workflows
- Strong judgment in balancing quick fixes versus long-term scalable system design
- Competitive base salary (USD $140,000–$180,000 depending on experience and location) with potential bonus and long-term incentives
- Equity participation through stock options
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
- 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer contributions
- Flexible remote-first work environment and generous paid time off
- Paid parental leave and family support programs
- Wellness and health spending credits
