- Ensure accuracy and compliance of the general ledger, maintaining adherence to GAAP and ASC 606 standards.
- Oversee revenue recognition processes, billing systems, and integrations with platforms such as Stripe and similar tools.
- Design, implement, and optimize AI-driven workflows and automation tools across A/P, A/R, and general ledger functions.
- Develop and deploy AI agents to reduce manual accounting work and accelerate close timelines.
- Improve financial systems, integrations, and reporting structures to enhance visibility and operational efficiency.
- Support tax compliance, audit processes, and annual budgeting activities as needed.
- Provide hands-on accounting support across portfolio companies when operational needs arise.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including engineering and finance, to build scalable and intelligent accounting solutions.
- CPA certification or equivalent experience with strong exposure to audit processes and ASC 606 compliance.
- 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience in high-growth or private equity–backed organizations.
- Proven ownership and leadership of financial close processes, with demonstrated improvements in efficiency and accuracy.
- Hands-on experience applying AI tools, automation, or agents to streamline accounting or financial workflows.
- Strong technical understanding of accounting systems, integrations, and process optimization.
- Experience working across complex, multi-entity environments or portfolio-based structures.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical, finance, and executive stakeholders.
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments requiring independent decision-making.
- Strong analytical mindset with a builder mentality focused on systems, scale, and automation.
- Competitive salary range of $150,000 – $190,000 USD annually.
- Performance-driven environment with high executive visibility and strategic influence.
- Opportunity to design and define an AI-native accounting function at scale.
- Exposure to a $1B+ multi-brand portfolio with enterprise-level complexity.
- Paid time off and flexible leave policies.
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
- Retirement savings plans (401(k) / RRSP matching depending on location).
- Employee discounts across a portfolio of retail brands.
- Supplemental insurance and wellness benefits.
