This role supports our entire brand portfolio, including our primary turnkey business, Architectural Fabrication, and our growing distribution channel, Alumination Architectural Products .
Position SummaryAs the Production Lead - Finishing at Architectural Fabrication, you will be essential in overseeing and enhancing our Finishing operations from preparation to completion of jobs. Your leadership will enable you to lead the department effectively by maintaining schedules, managing inventory, and guiding production to align with the organization's goals.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership in the Finishing department from preparation to completion of jobs.
Provide input to management about team member job performance and skill level.
Proficiently use Salesforce and Google Drive to edit and close Work Orders.
Responsibly oversee and delegate tasks to appropriate personnel.
Identify and develop team members' strengths and weaknesses.
Aid in employee evaluations and provide performance management support.
Identify Arch-Fab product components and maintain a strong knowledge of their assembly.
Ensure proper quantities and maintain quality control throughout the finishing process.
Manage inventory by stocking powders, supplies, and other materials.
Follow and maintain production schedules to ensure timely job completion.
Assist management with HR functions, including hiring and disciplinary actions.
Collaborate with management and other leads to determine and implement process improvements.
Minimum five (5) years of powder coating experience.
Proficient in Salesforce and Google Drive.
Previous experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5s/Kaizen Knowledge, and ERP/MRP systems preferred.
Employee-provided hand tools (screwdrivers, socket sets, tape measures, angle finders, etc.).
Tool boxes.
Power tools including impacts, drills, and grinders (available through a company lease program).
