| Position Description | The Departments of Earth and Planetary Science, Organismic and Evolutionary Biology, and Human Evolutionary Biology seek to appoint a tenure-track professor who conducts foundational research in the broadly defined areas of biodiversity, conservation, and/or land surface processes using remote sensing, AI and other advanced techniques. Candidates in allied disciplines, or who are engaged in cross-disciplinary research, are encouraged. The appointment is expected to begin on July 1, 2027. We seek an outstanding individual who will establish an innovative research program and teach both undergraduate and graduate students. In Harvard’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences, tenure-track positions are untenured. |
| Basic Qualifications | A doctorate or terminal degree in a field of science related to land surface processes, biodiversity, conservation or related disciplines is required by the time the appointment begins. |
