Job Description

Social Media Manager (Beauty Industry)

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Social Media Manager (Beauty Industry) in Canada.

This role is focused on building and executing high-impact social media strategies for a fast-moving beauty brand operating in a remote-first environment. You will own day-to-day content execution while helping shape the broader storytelling approach across key platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. The position blends creativity with performance, requiring a strong understanding of what drives engagement, brand trust, and conversion in the beauty space. You will work closely with marketing, design, and creative stakeholders to ensure content is consistent, on-brand, and optimized for growth. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in fast iteration cycles and data-informed creative environments. You will also play a key role in community engagement and influencer collaboration, helping turn audiences into loyal brand advocates.

Accountabilities:
  • Build and manage a high-performing social content engine that increases reach, engagement, and brand trust across core platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Develop and maintain a structured content calendar aligned with product launches, campaigns, and evergreen storytelling initiatives.
  • Write compelling captions, hooks, and community-focused messaging that reflects brand voice and drives audience action.
  • Schedule, publish, and optimize content based on performance insights, platform trends, timing, and SEO/hashtag strategies.
  • Lead community management efforts by engaging with audiences, responding to comments and DMs, and extracting actionable consumer insights.
  • Collaborate with creators, influencers, and UGC partners to source, brief, and repurpose content while ensuring proper usage rights management.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics on a weekly basis and translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Partner with internal designers, editors, and marketing teams to ensure timely, high-quality content delivery.
  • Stay up to date with platform updates and beauty industry trends, rapidly testing and iterating on new content formats and strategies.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in social media management for a consumer-facing brand, ideally within beauty, skincare, haircare, wellness, or lifestyle.
  • Proven ability to create high-performing, platform-native content with a clear understanding of what drives engagement and conversion.
  • Strong copywriting skills with an excellent sense of tone, storytelling, and brand consistency.
  • Experience using social media management and analytics tools, with comfort interpreting native platform data.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage content calendars and deliver consistent publishing schedules in a remote work environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently with a high level of ownership and accountability.
  • Experience working with influencers or UGC creators, including briefing, coordination, and rights management (nice to have).
  • Familiarity with short-form video editing tools (e.g., CapCut or Premiere Rush) and basic understanding of social commerce or paid amplification strategies (nice to have).
Benefits:
  • Competitive monthly compensation of $5,000–$6,000 CAD.
  • Remote-first work model with full flexibility.
  • Access to a $200K+ perks marketplace offering discounts across 150+ services.
  • Option to access up to 50% of approved earnings before payday.
  • Opportunity to work with a fast-growing beauty brand in a high-impact creative role.
  • Exposure to influencer marketing, social commerce, and performance-driven content strategy.
