Job Description

Summary:

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies to attract, assess, and hire top talent for various positions within the manufacturing plant. This role requires an individual with experience in hiring for technical, operational, and managerial roles in a manufacturing or industrial setting. The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of labor market trends, workforce planning, and compliance with recruitment laws and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from job posting to onboarding.
  • Collaborate with department heads to understand hiring needs and develop job descriptions.
  • Source candidates through multiple channels (online job boards, employee referrals, recruitment agencies, social media, etc.).
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of skilled candidates for future staffing needs.
  • Participate in job fairs and career events, particularly those focused on manufacturing skills.
  • Assist in workforce planning and forecasting, collaborating with department managers to anticipate future hiring needs.
  • Use market data and analytics to make informed hiring decisions and recommend improvements to the recruitment process.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment, with a strong focus on the manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in hiring skilled trades and technical roles (e.g., engineers, technicians).
  • Proven ability to source, screen, and hire candidates for various manufacturing roles.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices and employment laws.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment platforms.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume hiring environment.
  • Familiarity with recruitment software and tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and other job boards.
  • Understanding of technical job requirements in a manufacturing setting (preferred).
