This role is responsible for building and expanding strategic relationships with national contractor accounts and key stakeholders across commercial, industrial, and data center markets.
The position combines technical expertise, consultative selling, and account leadership to influence project specifications and drive business growth.
You will collaborate with contractors, end users, engineering teams, and channel partners to deliver tailored electrical infrastructure solutions.
The role requires strong industry knowledge, the ability to manage complex projects, and the communication skills needed to influence decision-makers.

The Strategic Account Manager, National Contractor Accounts will lead strategic customer engagement, provide technical sales expertise, and strengthen partnerships with major contractor organizations and end users. This role will focus on driving specification preference, supporting complex projects, and aligning customer needs with business objectives.
- Manage and grow relationships with national contractor accounts and strategic customers across commercial, industrial, and data center markets.
- Serve as the primary account leader for key contractor partnerships, coordinating sales activities and ensuring alignment with regional teams.
- Partner with representative agencies and channel partners to strengthen customer engagement and expand market opportunities.
- Provide technical pre-sales support, including application guidance, specification reviews, project consultations, and design recommendations.
- Collaborate with contractors, consulting firms, and end users to influence electrical infrastructure project decisions.
- Support design-build opportunities, technical evaluations, lighting audits, and other consultative customer activities.
- Deliver product training, technical seminars, and educational sessions for customers, partners, consultants, and internal sales teams.
- Work with product teams to provide market feedback, identify customer needs, and contribute to product strategy development.
- Support project forecasting, procurement alignment, and post-order coordination with internal teams.
- Represent the organization as a technical and commercial leader within the electrical infrastructure marketplace.
The ideal candidate is an experienced technical sales professional with a strong background in electrical systems, infrastructure solutions, and strategic account management. This individual should be comfortable influencing complex projects, developing executive relationships, and translating technical solutions into customer value.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical sales, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Strong understanding of electrical power distribution and mechanical support systems used in commercial, industrial, and data center environments.
- Experience supporting technical specifications, project designs, and customer application requirements.
- Strong knowledge of electrical infrastructure solutions, including cable tray, cable bus, LED lighting, or related products preferred.
- Experience managing strategic accounts and building long-term relationships with contractors, consultants, and end users.
- Excellent presentation, communication, training, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence project outcomes through technical expertise and consultative selling.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop creative solutions to complex challenges.
- Self-directed, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a remote environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering and 10+ years of related sales experience preferred.
- Competitive total compensation package with a target range of $167,250 - $245,300.
