HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST - JOB SUMMARY:

Sunrise Management & Consulting is currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Specialist to join our team in Latham, NY. The qualified candidate will have at least two to three years working in human resources, have obtained a human resources certification such as SHRM-CP, or studied human resources in college. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support to the HR department in various areas, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and employee relations. HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST - DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Assist with recruitment efforts, including posting job openings
• Conduct new hire orientations and assist with onboarding paperwork
• Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures
• Assist with employee relations issues and provide support to managers and employees
• Coordinate and assist with HR projects and initiatives
• Assist with benefits administration and open enrollment
• Maintain HR databases and generate reports as needed
• Provide general administrative support to the HR department
• Other duties as assigned

HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST - Education and Experience:

• SHRM-CP or equivalent HR certification is preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
• 2-3 years or more of experience in HR or related field
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and proficient in or able to learn Paylocity
• Knowledge of HR policies and procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Has a valid NYS driver's license

HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST - Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Ability to drive between work locations.
• While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
• The employee is frequently required to use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• The employee is required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms.
• Specific vision abilities this position requires include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
