Job Description
Do you have a passion for assisting with critical support service's needs? We are looking for a Support Services Technician to help with unloading supplies returning from barriers. This position loads clean supplies and is responsible for transferring containers. The role will operate machinery that washes cages, cage covers, feeders and bottles and distributes bedding into the cages.
The Location: Taconic Biosciences is seeking a Support Services Technician at our Germantown, NY site.
The Compensation: $20/hr
The Schedule: Monday - Thursday 5am start

Core Responsibilities:
- Unloads colony transfer containers of dirty supplies, redirecting TTCs and discards as
necessary.
Places cages/metal/plastic goods onto conveyor of tunnel washer
Operates tunnel washer that washes cages/metal/plastic goods by passing them through a
chamber which sprays washing water and through a chamber which sprays rinse water.
Inspects containers after unloading for signs of defect, performing minor preventative
maintenance when necessary or sending to maintenance for major repairs.
Monitors equipment that dispenses detergent into wash chamber.
Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device.
Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lift device.
Assists in preparation and cleaning of barrier racks and for start up.
Performs minor maintenance and daily clean up duties, including removal of debris and filter
changes.
Performs pest control and accurately completes logs as per SOP
Education and Experience:
- Basic reading, mathematical and communication skills are required

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
Considerable physical exertion is required such as frequently climbing, crouching, crawling, and/or lifting items up to 75 pounds.
