Pharmacist ED FT

JOB RELATIONSHIPS
- Reports to Pharmacy Managers
DEFINITION OF POSITION
- - - A Pharmacist is responsible for performance and/or supervision of various aspects of the medication use system including but not limited to: therapeutic recommendations, advocate for patient safety, preparation, distribution, monitoring, oversight of administration, and billing. This practitioner will be primarily based in the Emergency Department and may cross-cover other areas as needed. The pharmacist’s focus is on the quality of care through comprehensive medication management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional
  - Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy
  - Licensed and registered as a Pharmacist by the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy
  - Emergency and/or critical care experience is required
  - Residency training PGY1 and PGY2 are preferred.
  - Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties Certification is preferred
  - One year experience as a pharmacist in an acute care is preferred
  - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  - Basic computer skills including keyboard data entry and Windows-based software navigation
  - Basic office equipment skills including use of calculator, telephone, printer, & fax machine
