Retail Pharmacist at CaroMont Health – Gastonia, North Carolina

Job Summary: To perform a wide variety of duties to help meet the needs of the retail pharmacy and its patients. Provides medication-related services to physicians, staff, and community. Coordinates delivery of pharmaceutical care through distribution of medications, provision of clinical services, and supervision of technicians. Manages the retail pharmacy staff and operation. Helps to grow the retail pharmacy business and expand the services it provides. Reports to the Retail Pharmacy Manager

Qualifications: PharmD or Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy from an accredited college or university; a minimum of 2 years previous experience as a Retail Pharmacy Manager; BLS is required within 120 days of start, or first available course offered by CaroMont, whichever occurs later. Current NC pharmacy license required; valid APhA Immunization Certificate; thorough knowledge of retail pharmacy terminology, procedures and policies; Considerable skill in performing pharmacy procedures; Considerable ability to communicate effectively with nursing personnel and physicians.
