Pharmacy Emergency Medicine Resident in Gastonia, North Carolina at CaroMont Health

Job Summary: The Emergency Medicine Resident, supervised by the Pharmacy Clinical Manager/Pharmacy Residency Coordinator/Residency Program Director and other staff pharmacists will undergo a 1 year, intensive pharmaceutical care training program designed to provide the Resident with the skills necessary to be an effective and self-motivating health-system ED pharmacist. The Emergency Medicine Resident will also routinely serve as a clinical staff pharmacist: providing a wide variety of duties to help meet the pharmaceutical needs of the hospital and its patients and providing drug related services to physicians and staff. The Resident will work as a pharmacy intern under supervision of a licensed pharmacist until licensure obtained.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or Pharm D. from a recognized college or university; completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency, eligibility for NC pharmacy licensure; NC pharmacy licensure required within 6 weeks of employment start date; participation in ASHP residency matching program.
