Bosch Building Technologies Integrator Business

The regional system integration business called Bosch Building Technologies offers solutions and customized services for building security, energy efficiency, and building automation for commercial buildings and infrastructure projects Bosch started its Integrator Business in North America through the acquisition of Climatec in 2015. Climatec expanded Bosch’s role as a comprehensive supplier of energy, building automation and security solutions. Job Summary: The Technician I responsibilities include, but are not limited to performing startup, installation, closeout and service of jobs; assisting in design and other tasks as assigned while delivering on Bosch Building Technologies commitments to customers. These positions are initially targeted to work on a Major Project outside of Amarillo.

Responsibilities:

Installs, terminates and tests equipment as per specifications and in conjunction with any pertaining building and or electrical codesRepair, restore and test all systems per specifications and in conjunction with any pertaining building and or electrical codes.Daily communications with Project Manager on delays, requirements and general status of jobs to ensure delivery of the projectAll work is performed to Company standards and quality installation techniques are practiced.Work with Project Manager to ensure complete closeout and turnover of jobs to the client and service departmentWork at required heights utilizing ladders, scaffolding, lifts, or other.Work in confined spaces as necessary.Work with Field Engineers on startup to ensure complete system compliance.Responsible for training apprentices on Company procedures, systems and installation techniques.

Required Qualifications:  

Minimum 2 years working in the electronic field with daily use of AC/DC theory / Installation (ex HVAC)Excellent written and verbal communication skills Valid Driver’s License with clean record  Ability to pass pre-employment screeningAbility to use hand and specialty power tools associated with the industry   Ability to lift 50lbs consistently   Able to work independently 

Preferred Qualifications:

1 + year prior experience in a technical role within a Residential or Commercial Integrated Security Systems Company Associates degree (2 year) in a technical capacityAptitude for learning system programming as evidenced by 1 year of experience

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The use of power tools will be required to effectively perform this position. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may be required to work at heights over 6 feet.

Working Conditions: In general, the following conditions of the work environment are representative of those that an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

Onsite Data Center environment. The working conditions will be typical of a Commercial Construction site.

Additional Information:

Compensation: Pay: $23.87 - $26.99 /hour (DOE)Travel Required: LimitedWorking Hours: Onsite. This position generally works Monday- Friday, overtime will be required up to 20 hours per week and on call when necessary. Initial schedule will consist of (2 weeks) of 6/10 hour days and (1 week) of 5/10 hour days.
