We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Female Disability Support Worker to join our supportive team in Deception Bay, QLD. This casual position is perfect for someone who values flexibility and is passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of people with disabilities.

About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide person-centred assistance to individuals living with disabilities, empowering them to live independently and engage in their community.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing personal care and administering medication

• Assisting with meal preparation and daily living tasks

• Supporting clients with community access and transport

• Offering companionship and emotional support

• Encouraging independence, skill development, and personal growth

Note: Applicants must be available for weekday and weekend shifts, including sleepovers.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring empathy, patience, and professionalism to every interaction. You will also have to demonstrate the ability to respond calmly and effectively to challenging behaviours, including strong de-escalation skills.

Essential requirements:

• Certificate III or IV in Disability Support (or equivalent)

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in disability support

• Experience with behaviours of concern and behaviour de-escalation

• Current First Aid and CPR certifications

• Valid Driver’s Licence and reliable transport

• National Police Check

• Working with Children Check

• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance

• Full working rights in Australia
