About Mission Advancement

Since 2007, Mission Advancement has helped human service nonprofits and independent schools strengthen their fundraising and advance their missions. Our relationship-based approach combines fundraising strategy, major gifts expertise, campaign counsel, and practical development support to help organizations build lasting fundraising capacity.

We partner with leaders, boards, and advancement teams to grow annual support, develop and execute capital campaigns, strengthen major gift fundraising, and create long-term development strategies. At Mission Advancement, our work is ultimately about people, helping organizations build the relationships, resources, and capacity they need to make a greater impact.

Mission Advancement is seeking a Grant Consultant (Writing) to help nonprofit organizations strengthen their

fundraising capacity and secure the resources needed to advance their missions. This role is ideal for a strong writer

and strategic thinker who understands nonprofit fundraising, enjoys building relationships, and can translate an

organization’s mission and priorities into compelling funding proposals. This individual is familiar with the grant

landscape including foundations, research, funder priorities, proposal development, and the application process.

Consultants at Mission Advancement work with a diverse portfolio of nonprofit clients and must be comfortable

The ideal candidate brings demonstrated success in grant writing, strong nonprofit experience, excellent

communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Some travel may be required.
