The overall responsibilities of a Carpenter Assistant include:

1. Assist in assembling and/or installing side rails, forms, bulk heads, and block outs for casting beds.
2. Finish formwork and casting beds.
3. Deliver repair and maintain formwork.
4. Assist fiberglass laminator, mold builder, and CNC operator when necessary.
5. Must adhere to all Metromont and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
6. Housekeeping as necessary to maintain work area, tools, and equipment in a clean and orderly manner.

Education and Technology

1. High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
2. Previous carpentry experience preferred
3. Experience with bench saws, table saws, miter saws, nail and staple guns, drill presses, sharps, drills, power tools, planners and routers preferred.
