Job Description

Position Summary

Based in Atlanta, GA, the Junior Field Service Technician will support field service activities related to Low Voltage (LV) Busway systems and related electrical distribution equipment, including busplugs, across the United States and North America. This is an entry-level position designed for individuals eager to build hands-on experience in electrical field service, power distribution systems, and construction environments.

The technician will assist with on-site activities such as Electrical Testing, Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), installation support, commissioning assistance, troubleshooting, and technical field coordination under the guidance of senior team members.

This role will primarily support electrical distribution systems used in mission-critical facilities, including data centers and large-scale industrial environments, providing valuable hands-on experience in one of the fastest-growing industries in North America.

The ideal candidate is motivated to learn, comfortable working in active construction environments, and open to frequent travel. Strong communication skills in English are required, and Spanish language capability is highly preferred to support communication with subcontractors and field personnel.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist senior technicians and engineers with field services for LV Busway systems and related electrical distribution equipment, including Busplugs, Electrical Testing, SAT, and commissioning activities
  • Support field activities for electrical systems installed in data centers, mission-critical facilities, and industrial construction environments
  • Support installation supervision and help ensure compliance with technical drawings, technical manuals, and site safety procedures
  • Assist in troubleshooting electrical or installation-related issues at project sites
  • Participate in site inspections and help prepare service reports and technical documentation
  • Support communication and coordination with subcontractors, customers, and field teams
  • Learn and follow company installation standards, testing procedures, and safety requirements
  • Assist with field training support and technical coordination activities as needed
  • Travel frequently to project sites throughout the U.S. and occasionally across North America (travel readiness required)
  • Approximately 50% travel is expected, requiring flexibility and responsiveness to project and customer needs
  • Candidate Profile

  • No prior professional experience required; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply
  • Associate degree, technical school certification, or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, Construction, or a related field preferred
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written) required
  • Spanish language skills strongly preferred to support communication with subcontractors and field personnel
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a strong plus
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work on active construction sites
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems or a strong interest in learning electrical power distribution systems
  • Interest in data center infrastructure, mission-critical power systems, or electrical construction environments preferred
  • Previous internship, coursework, or exposure to construction, electrical systems, or industrial environments is a plus, but not required
  • Ability to read or willingness to learn technical drawings and schematics
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) preferred
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work effectively in both independent and team environments
