JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary
Shasta Pools is looking for a creative Video Content Producer (Video Brand Journalist) to produce engaging videos that reflect our brand and support our marketing and sales goals. You will own the full video production process, including planning, filming, editing, publishing, and analyzing results. This role works closely with the Marketing Specialist and Sales Team to create content that drives brand awareness, builds trust, and supports growth.
Brief Summary of the Role
As our visual storyteller, you will create multiple videos each week, manage production equipment, and use AI tools to enhance video quality. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining video strategies, coaching the team on video best practices, and ensuring all content is aligned with the company’s mission and brand
Duties/Responsibilities
Video Planning & Strategy
- Work with Marketing Specialist and Sales Team to decide video topics and prioritize what to produce.
- Be the trusted resource for implementing and maintaining a culture of video in the company.
- Maintain a consistent process to create 2–3 videos per week.
Pre-Production
- Determine what camera and production equipment is needed and get it if necessary.
- Plan scripts, shot lists, and ideas for videos.
- Assist with staging, set preparation, and dressing for shoots.
Production
- Transport, set up, and operate cameras, audio and video recorders, lighting equipment, props, and microphones.
- Capture footage, including b-roll and interviews with staff or clients.
- Work with team members who are on-camera talent and make them comfortable.
Post-Production
- Edit video content using professional software (e.g., Adobe Premiere).
- Use AI tools to help with video production, including color correction, audio enhancement, and editing.
- Add graphics, effects, or motion elements as needed.
- Upload, optimize, and report on content for YouTube and other platforms.
Equipment & Asset Management
- Maintain, calibrate, and operate video equipment properly.
- Manage creative assets and video files.
Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with Sales and Services teams to refine 1:1 and 1:many videos.
- Assist with sharing video content on social media.
- Coach and educate the team on video tools and technologies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Qualifications
Technical Skills:
- Proficient with video editing software (Adobe Premiere or similar)
- Experience with motion graphics tools (Adobe After Effects or Motion) – preferred
- Basic graphic design skills (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator) – a plus
- Storyboarding, scripting, and concept development
- Understanding of composition and visual storytelling
- Knowledge of branding fundamentals
- Strong interviewing skills and ability to work with on-camera talent
- Familiarity with AI tools for video production (color correction, audio enhancement, smart editing)
- AI literacy: understanding AI principles and applications in video content creation

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, and set up video and lighting equipment (generally moderate weight).
- Able to stand, walk, and move around during shoots for extended periods.
- Capable of bending, reaching, and assisting with set preparation and staging.
- Comfortable working in a variety of locations, including indoor and outdoor settings.
