The Operations Intern will support technicians, warehouse operations, and shop maintenance activities while gaining hands-on experience in the power generation industry. This temporary position assists with preventive maintenance jobs, equipment preparation, cable pulling, shop organization, and general facility upkeep. The intern will work closely with technicians and warehouse personnel to ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards and safety policies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Operations Support

1. Assist technicians with preventive maintenance (PM) jobs, including setting up tools, pulling cables, cleaning equipment, and supporting repairs on generators and power systems.
2. Support technicians on large field service jobs by transporting tools and parts, organizing work areas, and maintaining a safe and efficient job site.
3. Fill in for warehouse assistants as needed by helping with inventory organization, loading and unloading equipment, staging parts, and maintaining warehouse cleanliness.
4. Maintain shop and fleet cleanliness by sweeping the shop, pressure washing generators and equipment, and cleaning company trucks and work areas.
5. Complete assigned tasks in a safe, timely, and professional manner while following company safety policies, wearing proper PPE, and supporting daily operational needs.

Safety

1. Safely operate company vehicle, in accordance with Texas DOT regulations and the company policy.
2. Report all recognized unsafe conditions or acts to Management.
3. Wear proper PPE when necessary.
4. Attend training sessions as required
5. Perform all other duties as assigned.

COMPETENCIES

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Graduation from Technician/Maintenance training program, preferred
• Must possess a valid Texas driver's license
• No experience required
