Job Description

We're Hiring: Executive Assistant to the SVP of Talent

Wilmington, NC | [On-site / Hybrid] | Full-Time | Exempt

Reports to: SVP of Talent

$70,000 – $85,000 base salary

About Does Entertainment

Does Entertainment owns and operates live music venues, produces festivals, and promotes arena and stadium-scale shows. We build the operational backbone behind all of it — from conception to artist offers, all the way to the settlements, the systems, and the financial infrastructure that let artists and operators focus on the show. We are for the fans, the artists, and the spaces that bring us together.

This past year, we promoted a record-breaking stadium show, brought our expertise to stadium shows as consultants, and operated our two venues year-round. Next year’s calendar is materially larger, and our venue portfolio is growing quickly with it.

Our talent team is where shows begin: the offers, the deals, the contracts, and the settlement at the end of the night. This role keeps that work organized and moving.

The Role

You’ll support the SVP of Talent across the full life of a show — building deal sheets, securing venue dates, processing contracts, and keeping show files complete.

This is a good fit for someone who is highly organized, comfortable juggling many moving parts, and wants a seat close to how live shows get booked and closed out. Some evenings and weekends are required, particularly for show settlements.

What You'll Do

Booking & Deal Support

  • Assist the SVP of Talent in building artist deal sheets for submittal to artist agencies and management for review and discussion
  • Coordinate with venue personnel to secure date availability for specific events
  • Help finalize show deal points, including rent deals, merchandise deals, and similar terms
  • Follow up with agents and managers on event details to help move shows to confirmation

Contracts & Insurance

  • Process venue contracts, artist contracts, and co-promote agreements for the SVP’s shows
  • Coordinate insurance needs and obtain Certificates of Insurance ahead of each of the SVP’s shows

Show Files & Settlement

  • Compile and maintain a show folder for each event, with contracts, Certificates of Insurance, general event correspondence, and final artist and venue settlement information

Administrative Support

  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, conferences, and appointments both internally and externally
  • Answer phone lines and manage communications for the SVP of Talent
  • Maintain and update the calendar of events
  • Make travel arrangements and process expense reports for the SVP of Talent

What We're Looking For

Required

  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills, including comfort using AI tools to work more efficiently
  • Comfort working with numbers and spreadsheets
  • Ability to quickly get to know the department’s primary business contacts, both internal and external
  • A motivated self-starter with a positive, team-oriented attitude who contributes to a healthy work environment
  • Comfort with the pace, culture, and pivots in live entertainment

Preferred

  • 2+ years of work experience in the live music industry, booking, or relatable field with similar workflow
  • Experience with artist deals, offers, show settlements, contracts, event insurance and more

Why Does Entertainment

  • Work that connects to the show. Employees get event access and staff ticket allocations — this is work you can point at and be at.
  • Close to the deal. You will see how shows are built from first offer to final settlement.
  • Direct line to leadership. You report to the SVP of Talent, with no layers in between and real visibility into the decisions behind every show.
  • Colleagues who know the business. Experienced, down-to-earth operators who have done this at scale.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $70,000 – $85,000 base salary, commensurate with experience
  • 401(k) with company match after six months of service — 100% of the first 3% you contribute, plus 50% of the next 2% (a 4% company contribution when you defer 5%)
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Short-term and long-term disability coverage
  • 15 days of paid time off
  • Eight paid holidays — New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and the day after Thanksgiving
  • Plus, an office closure from Christmas Eve through New Year’s Eve — paid and separate from your PTO.

We work in live entertainment, so things occasionally come up, but holidays and time off are intended as a real break.
