NURSING SECRETARY
Full Time, Days
Job Description:
- Completes clinical staff work schedule and assures adequate coverage under direction of DON.
- Stocks Lab Office and keeps organized and neat.
- Performs employee drug screening as delegated by DON.
- Stocks each nurse's station with supplies, assuring organization and neatness.
- Stocks supplements and enteral feeding appropriately as needed.
- Orders Oxygen as needed. Monitors oxygen tanks and oxygen concentrator supply.
- Orders IV pumps and IV supplies as needed. Monitors supply.
- Maintains cleanliness and stock of reusable nursing supplies.
- Scans reports into patient charts, including M.D. orders as assigned.
- Monitor daily lab reports and assures reports are seen by Nursing.
- Restocks nursing station with supplies as needed.
- Assists Staff Development Coordinator as needed with new hire onboarding.
- Assists patients to and from activities as needed.
- Assists with filing as needed.
- Assists with patient care tasks as appropriate.
- Relieves reception periodically.
- Errands for Facility as needed to pharmacy, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Preferred Certified Nursing Assistant in state of practice.
- Must be a high school graduate.
- Must have some clerical/computer knowledge.
- Must be willing to perform routine repetitive tasks on a continuous basis.
- Must be able to work and cooperate with other employees.
- Must be kind and respectful to patients, staff, and visitors.
- Wears uniform designated for position and a nametag.
- Demonstrates neat appearance and good personal hygiene.
- Must read, know, and follow personnel, department, and Facility policies.
- Must attend in-service training and other staff meetings as required.
