Job Description

Le Meridien St Louis Clayton is hiring for a Room Attendant.

You should join our team if you believe...

  • Cleanliness, comfort, and care are at the heart of every great hotel experience.
  • A beautifully prepared guest room can set the tone for an entire stay.
  • The details matter, from fresh linens and sparkling bathrooms to the little touches that make a room feel welcoming.
  • Housekeeping is one of the most important teams in creating a positive guest experience.
  • Taking pride in your work means making sure every room is ready for the next guest.
  • Great hospitality starts with people who care about the details that guests see — and the ones they may never notice.

You’re a great fit for this role if you love...

  • Cleaning and preparing guest rooms according to hotel standards and established procedures.
  • Making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and completing other guestroom cleaning duties.
  • Ensuring guest rooms are clean, comfortable, organized, and properly stocked with amenities and supplies.
  • Inspecting your work and paying close attention to details before a room is released for a guest.
  • Reporting maintenance concerns, damaged items, missing supplies, and other room conditions promptly.
  • Responding professionally and courteously to guest requests and questions.
  • Handling guest belongings and personal items with care, respect, and discretion.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of housekeeping carts, closets, equipment, and work areas.
  • Working closely with Housekeeping Supervisors and other hotel team members to support room readiness and daily operations.
  • Jumping in to support your teammates when needed and contributing to a positive, team-oriented environment.
  • Taking pride in creating a clean, comfortable, and welcoming space for every guest.

We’re excited to have you join us because...

  • You understand that a clean and comfortable guest room is essential to the guest experience.
  • You take pride in your work and have a strong eye for detail.
  • You are dependable and understand the importance of being ready to contribute every shift.
  • You can work efficiently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and quality.
  • You are comfortable working independently while also being a supportive member of the Housekeeping team.
  • You treat guest belongings, hotel property, and confidential guest information with care and respect.
  • You are willing to learn and follow established cleaning, safety, and service procedures.
  • You remain professional, friendly, and helpful when interacting with guests and fellow team members.
  • You understand that leadership is not required to make an impact — every team member plays an important role in creating an UNMATCHED MOMENT.

Education and Experience

  • Previous housekeeping, room attendant, cleaning, or hospitality experience preferred, but not required.
  • Previous hotel or resort experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning procedures and guestroom standards preferred.
  • Ability to follow established cleaning and safety procedures.
  • Ability to identify and report maintenance issues and room deficiencies.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with supervisors, team members, and guests.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Dependable, organized, and able to manage time effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, based on business needs.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills preferred, but not required.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, and move throughout the shift.
  • Ability to clean and work in guest rooms, bathrooms, public spaces, linen areas, and back-of-house areas.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items such as linens, towels, cleaning supplies, trash, and housekeeping equipment.
  • Ability to push and maneuver a housekeeping cart throughout the hotel.
  • Ability to safely use cleaning products, equipment, and tools according to established procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining cleanliness, safety, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently for extended periods while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
