The Opportunity

Greenprint Capital is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Tax Credit Transfer team, which is responsible for facilitating the purchase and sale of investment and production tax credits (ITCs and PTCs) across the firm’s renewable energy investment portfolio. Location in St. Louis, MO is preferred but not required.

The role primarily supports the tactical execution of Section 6418 tax credit transfers, including pipeline management, the preparation of sales materials, the drafting and negotiation of term sheets and transfer agreements, assembling key project diligence for purchaser underwriting, and the fulfillment of diligence requests and conditions precedent to funding.

Several versions of this role are simultaneously posted to reflect an interest in attracting candidates with varying levels of experience; the position will be tailored appropriately based on the chosen candidate’s background and expertise.

The position is not intended as a sales or originations role but has potential to support growth in that capacity over time.

Core Responsibilities
  • Manage the pipelines of tax credit transfers and potential purchasers in the firm’s system of record to track inventory and workflow, and to provide weekly updates to investors and firm management
  • Review and interpret complex project-level diligence and legal documentation, including operating agreements (LLCAs) and equity contribution agreements (ECCAs) to create and maintain accurate project and sales information for potential purchasers
  • Assist with the drafting and negotiation of tax credit transfer term sheets and tax credit transfer agreements
  • Assist with the negotiation of tax credit recapture insurance policies, including ensuring compliance with existing requirements
  • In cooperation with the firm’s Investment and Asset Management teams, assemble and maintain key project diligence from initial closing and subsequent tax equity fundings in purchaser-facing data rooms
  • In cooperation with the firm’s Asset Management Team, monitor project milestones and communicate updates regarding construction, placement in service timing, funding timing and open compliance items to purchasers
  • Coordinate with project sponsors, investors, purchasers and external counsel to fulfill diligence requests, facilitate efficient tax credit transfer executions, and facilitate purchaser fundings
  • Manage and maintain strong working relationships with project sponsors, investors, purchasers and third-party service providers
  • Prepare clear, high-quality reporting for senior management and investors
Candidate Qualifications & Core Attributes

Outline the required education, experience, and skills. Include both technical and soft skills. Example:

  • 2-4+ years of experience in renewable energy tax credit transactions; experience in Section 6418 tax credit transfer transactions preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field (advanced degree a plus)
  • Strong analytical skills with experience managing complex investment structures and documentation
  • Familiarity with tax equity and structured finance agreements, including LLCAs, ECCAs, and tax credit transfer agreements
  • Ability to independently manage responsibilities, assess risk, and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high level of attention to detail

Compensation Range

Base Salary: $130,000-$170,000 annually

Total Compensation Includes:

  • Performance bonus: Target of 30% of base salary annually
  • Discretionary bonus: Potential additional bonus based on individual and company performance
  • Benefits: Comprehensive package (health, dental, vision, 401k match, PTO, etc.
