As a Manager, Identity and Access Management, you will lead the delivery, operation, and continuous improvement of IAM services across the organization. You will act as a key partner for business teams, security stakeholders, and system owners, ensuring identity solutions align with operational needs, compliance requirements, and long-term business objectives.
- Lead IAM initiatives from planning and design through implementation, transition, and ongoing operational support.
- Coordinate IAM solution delivery, including platform evaluation, vendor engagement, implementation planning, and optimization.
- Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
- Translate security, compliance, and business needs into IAM strategies, roadmaps, and implementation plans.
- Develop business cases, recommendations, project updates, and executive-level presentations.
- Oversee identity lifecycle management, access requests, access reviews, privileged access management, and related IAM operations.
- Lead, mentor, and support an IAM team by setting priorities and ensuring reliable service delivery.
- Establish and maintain IAM policies, standards, controls, and governance practices.
- Ensure identity and access processes remain secure, compliant, auditable, and aligned with industry best practices.
- Evaluate IAM technologies, vendors, and delivery approaches to improve service quality and operational effectiveness.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across IAM processes, services, and team practices.
The ideal candidate is an experienced IAM professional with strong leadership capabilities and a deep understanding of identity governance, access management, and enterprise security practices. You should be comfortable managing teams, leading complex initiatives, and collaborating with both technical and business stakeholders.
- 8+ years of IT experience, including 7+ years specializing in Identity and Access Management.
- 7+ years of experience leading IAM teams, enterprise access management programs, or related security services.
- Proven experience delivering IAM initiatives from implementation through operational support and continuous improvement.
- Strong experience gathering requirements, facilitating stakeholder workshops, and designing IAM processes.
- Experience leading, mentoring, and prioritizing work for technical teams.
- Demonstrated ability to develop IAM strategies, roadmaps, business cases, and leadership presentations.
- Strong knowledge of IAM governance, service delivery models, and security best practices across people, processes, and technology.
- Expertise in identity lifecycle management, access governance, privileged access management, role-based access control (RBAC), segregation of duties, and identity governance.
- Ability to evaluate IAM platforms, vendors, and implementation strategies.
- Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively engage with technical teams, business leaders, and executive stakeholders.
- Competitive base salary range of CAD 108,000 to CAD 148,500, depending on experience, skills, education, and location.
