About the role

  • HR Ops is the foundational infrastructure of our people function. We are reimagining traditional HR operations through AI tools and automation—letting systems handle what's standardizable, so people can focus on judgment, design, and continuous improvement.
  • This role is not just about executing processes; it's about helping define how those processes should work. You will join a team that values systems thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and a genuine curiosity about what the future of HR looks like.
  • Job Title: HR Operations Specialist
  • Department: HR
  • Location: New York, NY (Onsite)
  • Experience Required: 3–5 years
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or above

What you'll do

  • Own the end-to-end operations of employee lifecycle events (onboarding, transfers, offboarding), ensuring compliance and accuracy; proactively identify automation opportunities and introduce AI tools or automation platforms to improve process efficiency.
  • Serve as the primary HR advisory contact for employees on policies, benefits, and related inquiries; contribute to building the knowledge base for an AI-powered HR assistant to increase employee self-service adoption.
  • Maintain data integrity and accuracy across HR systems; leverage AI-driven analytics tools or data visualization to produce workforce efficiency and organizational dashboards that support business decisions.
  • Participate in the evaluation, implementation, and optimization of HR systems and tools; capable of translating business needs into system requirements and assessing tool fit.
  • Drive cross-functional HR initiatives in collaboration with HRBPs, Compensation, Legal, IT, and other teams.
  • Support cross-regional HR collaboration between China and the US, coordinating multi-region compliance and policy alignment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above; major in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or related fields preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in HR Ops, HR Shared Services, or people operations; solid knowledge of US labor laws and standard HR practices.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI tools to improve work efficiency; informed perspective on HR digital transformation.
  • Strong data skills; proficient in Excel; familiarity with BI tools or basic SQL is a plus.
  • Structured thinker with high standards for process design and data accuracy; able to exercise independent judgment in ambiguous situations.
  • Experience in cross-border HR operations (China / Singapore / Southeast Asia) is a plus.
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin strongly preferred; ability to independently handle cross-border team communication and collaboration.
