About This Position

SDK is seeking a full-time HR Generalist (HRG) to lead full-cycle recruitment for corporate and manager-level roles across our multi-state property management portfolio, while also supporting HR compliance and operations.

The incumbent must be someone who prioritizes others’ experiences and demonstrates compassion, ethics, discretion, and sound judgment. This role requires strong emotional intelligence, clear communication, and practical HR expertise that supports effective decisions and a healthy workplace culture.

This is an onsite position based in Ridgewood, NJ with office hours from 8:30am to 5:00pm.

About the Position

As our HRG, you will be primarily responsible for the following areas, with additional duties supporting the people function.

Talent Acquisition

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for assigned roles which typically will include all corporate and property manager-level positions.
  • Support recruiting efforts across multiple properties and locations.
  • Maintain accurate candidate tracking and documentation in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Monitor recruitment activity and identify opportunities to improve hiring speed and effectiveness.

HR Operations and Onboarding

  • Coordinate onboarding for new hires, ensuring completion of required employment documentation and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS, ATS, and personnel files.
  • Process employee status changes including new hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
  • Support payroll and timekeeping processes by ensuring accurate employee setup and data maintenance.
  • Assist with employee offboarding, including documentation and system updates.
  • Support HR operational processes across multiple property locations.

HR Administration and Compliance

  • Ensure recruiting and HR practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Maintain organized and compliant employee records and personnel files.
  • Support HR audits and reporting requirements.
  • Assist with implementation and administration of HR policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional related duties proactively and as assigned.

About Your Professional Background & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • A minimum of three years of managing high-volume full-cycle recruiting for both exempt and non-exempt positions.
  • A minimum of three years of HR operations experience.
  • Experience working for a multi-state organization is preferred; real estate industry experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency with ADP WFN, ClearCompany and Replicon strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and operational accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Upholds high standards of confidentiality and exercises discretion with sensitive information.
  • Naturally curious, proactive and solutions-oriented.
  • Must demonstrate a consistent, reliable professional history supported by outstanding references from current or former manager(s).
  • Must be able to work with any employer in the US without any restrictions whatsoever.

The annualized gross base range for this position is $75,000-85,000 plus bonus eligibility. The actual compensation will be based on factors unique to the candidate, including direct years of experience and depth of knowledge.
