Central Kitchen Chef
Location: Tottenham, North London
Hours: Full-time – 40 hours per week
Pay: Hourly, £16.50

We are looking for an experienced, organised Central Kitchen Chef to join our growing catering team based at our central production kitchen in Tottenham.
This is a hands-on role focused on high-quality prep, event production and kitchen organisation. Much of the work involves independent prep and production, so we are looking for someone reliable, self-motivated and highly organised who takes pride in maintaining an exceptionally clean and professional kitchen environment.
This role offers a flexible working pattern. Many days allow you to organise your own working hours within reason, provided that event production deadlines are met and operational needs are covered.
You will work closely with the Catering Operations Manager and events team to ensure that all food production and event logistics are delivered smoothly and to a high standard.
Responsibilities include:
preparing food for events and fixed catering sites across London
managing daily prep and production tasks
ensuring all event preparation deadlines are met
maintaining an extremely clean, organised and professional kitchen environment
supporting the events team with stock organisation and event logistics
accepting equipment and stock returning from events and ensuring everything is checked, cleaned and returned to the correct place
coordinating with the Kitchen Porter to ensure event equipment is properly cleaned and maintained
assisting with packing and organising event food and equipment for dispatch
maintaining clear and professional communication with the events team throughout the day
ensuring stock and equipment move smoothly in and out of the central kitchen
During busy periods you may also be required to assist on-site at crew and artist catering locations, private and corporate events, and other catering operations across London.
This role would suit someone with professional kitchen experience who enjoys prep and production work, is highly organised and comfortable working independently for extended prep periods, and takes pride in maintaining excellent hygiene and kitchen standards. It would particularly suit a chef coming from a service-based role who is looking for more daytime-focused work and a flexible working pattern while remaining full time.
We are looking for someone with strong prep skills, excellent hygiene standards, the ability to manage workload independently, a positive attitude and , strong communication skills and the flexibility to support events when required. The ideal candidate will be open-minded, flexible, and happy to support the team across different areas of the kitchen when required.
