Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in the management of kitchen operations, ensuring that high standards of food safety and preparation are maintained. This role is pivotal in supporting the Head Chef in delivering exceptional dining experiences while supervising kitchen staff and contributing to menu development.

Duties

  • Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking.

  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen.

  • Participate in menu planning, recipe development, and food production to enhance guest satisfaction.

  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations.

  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.

  • Help manage kitchen schedules, ensuring adequate staffing for peak times.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.

  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food preparation.

  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and manage a team effectively, promoting teamwork and high morale.

  • Excellent culinary skills with a passion for creating innovative dishes.

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools, along with basic maintenance knowledge.
