About This Position
Goat Ledge is a vibrant, very busy, community focused beach cafe, offering locally sourced, high quality food and drink. The menu is based around local seafood and also vegan offerings. In the summer periods we will look to offer a BBQ and Paella on busy days. We have a very busy bar and cafe as well as kitchen. We also have an ice cream cafe in summer. There are summer events, music and tables on the beach. Queues are long and the atmosphere is very buzzy.
BAR SUPERVISOR JOB DESCRIPTION
We are searching for a committed, proactive bar supervisor who would enjoy working in an exciting, fast-paced beach setting.
The Person: (20 years +)
Be observant and have the ability to think critically and efficiently.
Strong interpersonal and customer facing skills
Ability to communicate calmly and effectively
Availability to work as needed on weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
Passion for local and quality products and a real passion for hospitality
Have a keen interest in craft beer, wine & cocktails.
Experience in wine and cocktails preferred but training given.
Bar Staff Responsibilities Include:
Ensuring that industry-specific quality and safety guidelines are followed.
Ability to work in a diverse environment with all staff and customers.
Ability to communicate calmly and effectively.
Doing regular stock-takes and letting management know of any ordering.
Handling deliveries.
Maintaining the condition of beer and wine
Maintaining the cleanliness of the bar and cellar area.
Keeping the Manager up to date and also communicating any issues.
