This role sits within a global HR Technology environment focused on transforming how workforce planning is designed, delivered, and optimized across regions. You will act as a key expert for Workday Strategic Workforce Planning, helping shape scalable solutions that align workforce strategies with business priorities. The position combines technical configuration, HR process expertise, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced international context. You will partner closely with HR Centers of Excellence, Digital/IT teams, and external vendors to deliver high-impact planning capabilities. The work directly influences headcount planning, cost modeling, and long-term talent strategy. This is a remote opportunity within Canada, offering exposure to enterprise-scale transformation initiatives.
- Lead the design, configuration, testing, and ongoing enhancement of Workday Adaptive Planning solutions for strategic workforce planning, ensuring alignment with global HR and business objectives.
- Act as subject matter expert for workforce planning processes including headcount, cost planning, capacity modeling, and talent/resource planning across the organization.
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications, ensuring scalable and efficient system configurations.
- Collaborate with HR COEs, IT/Digital teams, and external vendors to deliver integrated planning solutions and resolve system or process issues.
- Support testing cycles, production troubleshooting, system enhancements, and release impact analysis for new Workday updates.
- Maintain documentation such as user guides, training materials, process flows, and technical documentation.
- Manage integrations with enterprise planning and financial systems such as Oracle Hyperion and Planisware, ensuring data consistency and process alignment.
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in computer science, HR, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in HR Technology projects with at least 2+ years of hands-on configuration experience in Workday Adaptive Planning.
- Strong understanding of strategic workforce planning, HR processes, and enterprise planning frameworks.
- Experience working in fast-paced, global environments with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Familiarity with SDLC, Agile methodologies, and tools such as Jira.
- Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to work independently across distributed, cross-functional teams and time zones.
- Experience supporting organizational change such as mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures is an asset.
- Competitive base salary ranging from CAD 110,500 to CAD 160,500 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
