Job Summary
This position is responsible for managing the inventory and distribution of tools, equipment and supplies in order to support the production of quality parts to the customer.
Responsibility
- Keep the Supply Store area neat and organized per 5S Standard.
- Assist in Shipping and Receiving.
- Follow established policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Receive/unpack and put away incoming MRO items.
- Review Pack slip against Material received to assure correctness.
- Inspect all materials for damage and take appropriate steps to resolve.
- Maintain accurate Plex inventory by entering parts received and issued out.
- Conduct physical inventory (including cycle counts as assigned) of stockroom items to ensure correct inventory and part locations are maintained in Plex.
- Conduct daily inventory of assigned non-stockroom items.
- Prepare items for shipment as needed for repair or return to Supplier.
- Recognize and support in house customers.
- Apply SDS labels to items as required by law for Hazard Communication/Employee Right to Know.
- Perform administrative documents including required paper work, computer data entry, reports, etc.
- Effective communication with team-oriented problem-solving teams, functional teams, divisional teams, etc.
- Process daily sign out sheets to ensure inventory quantities are correct in Plex.
- Maintain min/max report, send to Purchasing Coordinator and Materials Manager daily.
- Update and maintain the MRO system. (This is an internet-based system that is set up by an offsite vendor)
- Maintain/Inventory satellite storage areas
- Other duties as assigned
Academic/Educational Requirements
· High School diploma or equivalency preferred
· One-year certificate from college or technical school with related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Required Skills/Experience
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situation.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Computer knowledge: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Send/Receive email.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to accurately communicate, both verbally and in writing, inventory and receiving problems to Purchasing for resolution.
Working Conditions
· The employee is required to stand; be able to handle and/or feel objects, tools, or controls; and to communicate.
· The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs., but in certain situations could require pushing or pulling 100 lbs. or more.
· Vision abilities required by this job are the same as required for a driver’s license in the state in which the person lives, and will be demonstrated by maintaining that license.
· The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and extreme heat.
· The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
· The incumbent is required to wear protective clothing and equipment designated in procedures and work instructions.

· 40 hours per week
· In office, Production area as required.
· Monday to Friday
· Please note: All schedules and changes to working hours must be approved by the department manager. Schedule is subject to change based on discretion of department manager.
