About This Position

SUMMARY

KMC Controls is looking for an in-person, on-site Warehouse/Shipping Associate to support daily production and warehouse operations by picking, packing, and shipping KMC Controls products accurately and on time. They keep materials, tools, equipment, and finished goods moving within the plant, while maintaining safe and organized work areas. The Warehouse/Shipping Associate works closely with production and shipping teams to meet customer and production needs. It’s hands-on work for someone who’s reliable, detail-oriented, and ready to be part of a team that builds quality products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Pick, pack, and prepare products for shipment according to work orders and shipping requirements.
  • Load and unload materials, products, and supplies in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Receive, inspect, and stock incoming materials, parts, and supplies.
  • Deliver parts, materials, and tools to production and other departments as needed to keep work flowing.
  • Maintain adequate stock levels of commonly used materials and notify supervision when replenishment is needed.
  • Verify orders for accuracy, including part numbers, quantities, and packaging.
  • Operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, carts, and forklifts (training provided).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse, stockroom, and shipping areas.
  • Track inventory movements and complete required paperwork or system entries.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures.
  • Work closely with production, warehouse, and shipping team members to meet daily schedules.
  • Report damaged materials, missing inventory, tool issues, or safety concerns to a supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

A high school diploma or GED is preferred. Prior warehouse, shipping, or material handling experience is helpful but not required. Must be able to follow instructions, work reliably as part of a team, and learn basic warehouse and shipping processes on the job.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and part prints. Ability to write simple correspondence Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one discussion with supervisor and Co-workers

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add and subtract multi-digit numbers and to multiply and divide.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the Warehouse/Shipping Associate is regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods, use hands and arms to handle, reach, and grasp materials, and operate warehouse equipment. The employee must frequently lift, carry, push, or pull items up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds with assistance. The role requires bending, twisting, stooping, and repetitive motion, along with the ability to work in a warehouse environment with moderate noise and varying temperatures. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and depth perception.
