An established real estate company in Johnson County is seeking an energetic and dependable Office Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of its Keene office.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable communicating with property owners, tenants, vendors, clients, and visitors. An active Texas real estate sales agent license is preferred. The successful candidate may also have opportunities to conduct real estate business on evenings and weekends and earn commissions under the company’s commission structure.
Primary Responsibilities- Answer incoming calls and general email inquiries and direct them appropriately
- Communicate with property owners, tenants, and maintenance personnel
- Document maintenance requests and coordinate needed repairs
- Schedule meetings, appointments, and property-related activities
- Maintain organized electronic and paper files
- Order and organize office supplies
- Welcome visitors and provide professional front-office assistance
- Assist company leadership with correspondence, travel arrangements, expense reports, and other administrative needs
- Provide rotating telephone coverage every other weekend for property-related emergencies and coordinate the appropriate response
- If properly licensed and sponsored, assist clients with real estate transactions and pursue commission-based sales opportunities
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced office
- Professional, positive, and service-oriented attitude
- Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with standard office equipment
- Ability to provide rotating weekend telephone coverage
- Willingness and ability to obtain a Texas real estate sales agent license within six months of employment
- Completion of a comprehensive background and reference verification required
- Active Texas real estate sales agent license
- One to two years of experience as an administrative assistant, receptionist, or office coordinator
- Previous experience in real estate, property management, leasing, or a related field
- Interest in conducting real estate business during evenings or weekends
- Experience working directly with property owners, tenants, clients, contractors, or maintenance vendors
The position provides base compensation for administrative responsibilities. An employee who holds an active Texas real estate sales agent license and is properly sponsored may also be eligible to earn commissions from approved real estate transactions under a separate commission agreement.
