VP Group Sales Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a VP Group Sales Manager based in Canada.

This is a senior commercial leadership role responsible for driving national revenue growth across a high-performing sales organization focused on retail media, in-store marketing, and digital incentive solutions. You will lead and develop a team of sales professionals accountable for expanding relationships with both existing and new clients, including strategic enterprise accounts. The role sits at the intersection of leadership, strategy, and hands-on commercial execution, requiring strong presence with senior-level decision makers. You will shape how advertisers engage with integrated retail media ecosystems that connect consumers across the full shopping journey. This is a highly visible leadership position within the Canadian market, contributing directly to overall business growth and market expansion. You will operate in a fast-paced, data-driven environment where innovation, client outcomes, and revenue performance are central priorities. The role is ideally suited to a leader who thrives on building teams, scaling business impact, and driving consistent year-over-year growth.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead and drive sustained, above-market revenue growth across the Canadian sales organization.
  • Manage and develop a high-performing sales team focused on acquiring new clients and expanding existing accounts.
  • Build and strengthen long-term relationships with senior-level decision makers across key advertiser categories.
  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities, including high-growth verticals such as CPG, adult beverage, and pharmaceuticals.
  • Develop client-centric advertising solutions leveraging in-store media, digital incentives, and omnichannel retail capabilities.
  • Partner with internal teams (marketing, insights, digital strategy, operations, finance) to design compelling, data-driven client proposals.
  • Maintain disciplined forecasting, pipeline management, and performance reporting to senior leadership on a weekly basis.
  • Ensure consistent execution of sales strategies aligned with revenue targets and market growth objectives.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members to elevate overall sales capability and performance.
  • Continuously refine go-to-market strategies based on market trends, client feedback, and competitive dynamics.
Requirements:
  • Proven track record of delivering consistent revenue growth in advertising, media, retail marketing, or CPG-related industries.
  • Demonstrated success leading and scaling high-performing sales teams in a competitive, target-driven environment.
  • Strong ability to engage and influence senior-level decision makers and enterprise clients.
  • Experience building strategic, data-driven sales proposals and customized client solutions.
  • Highly results-oriented leader with strong business acumen and commercial judgment.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM systems.
  • Ability to operate independently while managing complex sales cycles and team performance.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with executive presence.
  • University degree required.
  • Self-starter with high energy, resilience, and a strong bias for action.
  • Experience in advertising sales or CPG industry strongly preferred.
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and passion for business development and market growth.
Benefits:
  • Competitive executive-level compensation package aligned with experience and performance.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • Remote-based role with flexibility across Canada (Greater Toronto Area or Greater Montreal Area preferred).
  • Opportunity to lead a national sales organization in a high-growth, innovation-driven environment.
  • Strong exposure to senior leadership and strategic decision-making.
  • Performance-driven culture with significant ownership over revenue outcomes.
  • Opportunity to shape go-to-market strategy within a leading retail media ecosystem.
  • Dynamic, fast-paced environment with strong career growth potential.
