You will be responsible for generating and qualifying new business opportunities across key sectors such as government, legal, and enterprise. The position blends outbound prospecting discipline with inbound lead qualification, requiring a strong ability to engage senior stakeholders and articulate complex value propositions. You will work closely with marketing and sales leadership to shape pipeline strategy and improve how target accounts are approached. This is a highly visible role where your efforts directly influence revenue growth and market positioning. It is ideal for a driven SDR who wants to work in a meaningful, technical sales environment with real customer impact.
- Own outbound prospecting strategy and execution across target verticals, including cold outreach, multi-touch campaigns, and LinkedIn engagement.
- Qualify and refine inbound leads (MQLs), ensuring strong context-setting and accurate pipeline progression.
- Support discovery preparation and coordinate demos with Account Executives for qualified opportunities.
- Conduct in-depth research on target accounts to build strong domain and industry understanding.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to improve ICP definition, campaign effectiveness, and messaging alignment.
- Maintain accurate CRM data and ensure high-quality pipeline tracking and forecasting in HubSpot.
- Meet and exceed monthly targets for qualified meetings and pipeline generation, contributing directly to revenue growth.
- Provide feedback from market conversations to continuously improve outreach strategy and positioning.
- 1–3 years of experience in a Sales Development or Business Development Representative role with proven pipeline generation success.
- Strong experience using outbound sales tools such as HubSpot, Apollo, Outreach, Salesloft, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Ability to confidently engage and communicate with senior stakeholders during early-stage sales conversations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to personalize outreach effectively.
- Familiarity or interest in AI tools and modern sales technologies.
- Strong curiosity, resilience, and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Ability to understand complex technical or data-related value propositions.
- Experience or interest in information governance, ECM, or data management is an asset.
- Exposure to government, legal, or enterprise accounts is a plus.
- Competitive compensation with a transparent structure.
- Base salary range: CAD 50,000 – 62,000.
- On-target earnings (OTE): CAD 70,000 – 88,000 (70/30 split).
