This role sits at the forefront of expanding a global organization’s presence across North America within the healthcare and clinical research sector. You will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities while strengthening long-term relationships with key decision-makers in strategic accounts. Acting as both a commercial leader and trusted advisor, you will shape tailored solutions that align client needs with complex service offerings. The role combines strategic sales leadership, account development, and cross-functional coordination with operations and delivery teams. You will operate in a highly collaborative, international environment where scientific innovation and client impact are central. Success in this position requires both commercial acumen and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder ecosystems. This is a high-visibility role with direct influence on business growth and client satisfaction across the region.
You will lead end-to-end business development efforts across assigned accounts, driving growth and strengthening partnerships in the North American market, including:
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities within target customer and account portfolios
- Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers
- Developing account strategies, sales plans, and tailored proposals in collaboration with internal teams
- Leading the full sales cycle, from opportunity qualification and pitch preparation to negotiation and closure
- Coordinating with proposal, operations, and project teams to ensure aligned pricing, delivery strategy, and client expectations
- Supporting seamless handover from sales to delivery teams, ensuring accurate knowledge transfer of client needs
- Monitoring client satisfaction and proactively addressing issues, scope changes, or escalation points
- Representing the organization at industry events and maintaining high visibility within the market
You bring solid experience in business development within healthcare services or clinical research environments, along with strong commercial and interpersonal capabilities, including:
- 3–5+ years of experience in business development or sales, ideally within a CRO or healthcare services organization
- Background in health sciences or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and develop strategic account relationships
- Strong understanding of customer needs within regulated healthcare or clinical research environments
- Proficiency with CRM tools, preferably Salesforce
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills across senior stakeholders
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management abilities
- Ability and willingness to travel as required
