Centricity Research is one of the largest clinical research networks in North America. We are a fully centralized Integrated Research Organization (IRO) specializing in conducting Phase I-IV clinical trials in over 35 therapeutic areas: inpatient and outpatient; pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device trials.

About the Role

At Centricity Research, our people are at the heart of everything we do. We're looking for a People Operations Generalist who is passionate about creating an exceptional employee experience while helping build efficient, scalable People processes across our growing organization.

In this role, you'll partner with the Director of People Operations to support employees across Canada and the United States throughout the entire employee lifecycle. From onboarding and benefits administration to employee relations, HR reporting, compliance, and process improvement, you'll play a key role in ensuring our People Operations function runs smoothly and delivers outstanding service.

This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys balancing employee support with operational excellence, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is excited to leverage technology and AI to improve the way work gets done.

Location: Remote (Greater Toronto Area, Ontario)

This is a fully remote position. To support collaboration and team connectivity, candidates must reside within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Ontario. Occasional in-person meetings or events may be required.

What You’ll Do

Partner with leaders and employees across Canada and the U.S. to deliver an exceptional employee experience throughout the entire employee lifecycle. Serve as a trusted resource on People Operations processes, providing guidance on HR policies, employee relations, benefits, leave administration, and employment practices while escalating complex matters as appropriate. Manage key People Operations processes, including onboarding, offboarding, employee records, HRIS administration, benefits administration, leave management, and compliance activities. Prepare workforce reports and analyze People data to identify trends, support decision-making, and provide insights that improve organizational effectiveness. Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes, optimize workflows, and leverage HR technology, automation, and AI tools to enhance efficiency and the employee experience. Partner with the Director of People Operations on audits, compliance initiatives, policy updates, organizational projects, and other strategic People initiatives. Provide backup support for Talent Acquisition during periods of high hiring volume or planned absences, helping ensure a seamless candidate and hiring manager experience. Build strong cross-functional relationships while contributing to a collaborative, compliant, and high-performing People Operations function.

You Might Be a Great Fit If You:

You have 3–5 years of progressive Human Resources or People Operations experience. You have experience supporting employees throughout the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, HR administration, benefits, employee relations, and compliance. You understand both Canadian and U.S. employment practices or are eager to expand your knowledge across both regions. You enjoy building relationships and are known for providing thoughtful, responsive support to employees and leaders. You're highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You enjoy working with data, preparing reports, and using insights to improve processes and support decision-making. You're naturally curious about technology and enjoy leveraging HR systems, automation, and AI tools to improve efficiency and employee experiences. You communicate professionally, maintain confidentiality, and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information. Experience with Rippling or other HRIS platforms, recruitment support, or HR certifications (SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent) is considered an asset.
